Two practices · booked together or on their own

A video editor. And a DGCA certified drone pilot.

Two separate practices under one name. Films by CineVik is the editing work — wedding films, teasers, same day edits and reels. Aerial Stories by CineVik is the drone work — aerial cinematography flown under a DGCA remote pilot certificate. Either one can be hired on its own.

02 — The two practices

Two separate services

These are two different jobs with two different skill sets, and they are quoted and booked separately. Book the edit, book the drone, or book both — neither one depends on the other.

The edit suite

The story is built in the cut — where the vow audio sits, how long a glance is allowed to hold, which song the entry turns on. Footage is only the raw material.

  • Full wedding films, structured across the events
  • Teasers built to be shared the same week
  • Same day edits, cut and screened that evening
  • Pre-wedding and engagement films
  • Vertical cutdowns for reels

Aerial Stories by CineVik

The air

An aerial is not an establishing shot bolted onto the front. It is the reveal — the venue at golden hour, the baraat moving through a street, the two of them alone in a very large landscape.

  • Venue and landscape reveals
  • Procession and crowd movement from above
  • Top-down and orbit work around the couple
  • Flown under a DGCA remote pilot certificate
  • Airspace checked before the date is confirmed

Seven collections

Every film is on YouTube, sorted by what it is rather than by year. Each slate opens a full playlist.

04 — Flying legally

What “DGCA certified” actually buys you

A certificate is not a bragging point, it is insurance against the shot being cancelled. Venue managers, hotel security and police all ask the same questions — these are the answers, in advance.

Airspace, in plain language

India's airspace is mapped into three colours. Which one your venue sits in decides whether a drone goes up at all — so it gets checked before anything is promised.

Green zone. Clear to fly up to 120 m with the certificate and a registered aircraft. No extra permission needed.
Yellow zone. Controlled airspace, usually near an airport. Requires air traffic control clearance, applied for ahead of the date.
Red zone. Flying needs central government approval. If your venue falls here, you will be told at the enquiry stage — not after booking.

Zone status is confirmed per venue and per date before a shoot is committed.

What you receive. Aerial clips handed over graded or ungraded — whichever your editor prefers to work from. The drone work is a standalone booking and does not have to come with an edit.

05 — How a booking runs

Two tracks, run separately

An edit and a drone booking follow different paths. Book both and they run alongside each other rather than as a single job.

Booking a drone

01

The two things that decide everything. Nothing is promised before the airspace is checked.

02

Airspace & clearance

Zone confirmed on the DGCA map. Where clearance is needed, it is applied for ahead of the date.

03

Flight day

Flown to the agreed shot list, in daylight and within visual line of sight.

04

Footage handover

Aerial clips handed over in the format your editor asks for.

Deliverables

Horizontal

The film, 16:9

The full wedding film and the teaser, graded and mixed, delivered as a master plus a lighter copy that is easy to share.

Vertical

Reels, 9:16

Cut for vertical rather than cropped into it — reframed shot by shot so faces stay in frame on a phone.

Hosting

A link that lasts

Films hosted on the CineVik YouTube channel so relatives without the files can still watch, years later.

Public or unlisted — your call

Runtimes, number of shoot days and packages are confirmed per wedding — ask at the enquiry stage.

Enquiries

Tell me the date and the venue

Say which one you need — an edit, a drone, or both — along with the date and the venue. That is enough to come back with availability, and for drone work, whether the venue's airspace allows a flight at all.

Dates for the main season go early — enquire before the invites are printed.
